About us

Katy is a highly specialist Occupational Therapist (OT) and her diverse career to date spans more than two decades. It has included extensive clinical grounding in mental health and rehabilitation, professional leadership at Borough level, multi-professional service management and service change, quality improvement facilitation, project and program management at national level. Katy’s leadership experience was underpinned by an MSc in Systemic Leadership and Organisation studies.

Katy has experience of working within the NHS and private services. In 2020 she set up a private practice in London providing natural, embodied ways to support regulation of the nervous system for people with complex trauma histories. As a trauma informed therapist, she finds Dr. Stephen Porges Polyvagal Theory a useful lens to support and empower people on their healing journeys. Katy is certified as:

·       A Safe and Sound Protocol SSP Provider

·       An advanced TRE – Tension Trauma Releases Exercises Provider

·       Ayurvedic abdominal massager.

Katy is passionate about working with children and over the past 5 years has been developing her expertise in the field of Paediatrics. In 2021, Katy successfully completed Primitive Reflex Integration practitioner training with Hemispheres and finds this a fascinating area of focus and powerful approach to enabling children and young people to reach their potential.

Katy is an associate practitioner at Hemispheres and works remotely from her London base. Katy is author of ‘The Tree & Me’, a Polyvagal Poem and  she also works as Principal Therapist within the field of Education.
