Thomas was first referred to Hemispheres in 2014 at the young age of 3 years of age. He presented with a failure to thrive, presenting with weak and delayed motor skills, sensory sensitivities, oral motor and feeding diffiuclties with a delay in communication, social interaction and play.
The dedication and commitment of his parents to delivering his occupational therapy programme and following up on any recommendations made has been admirable and rewarded. Thomas is now meeting his motor and sensory skills, he enjoys a full diet, communicates well, plays with his peers in his mainstream school and is meeting the expected educational targets.
Even in the face of strong developmental difficulties, Hemispheres looks behind the symptoms and focuses intervention at a deep er level to help faciliate a stronger foundation from which life skills can grow.
"Dear Shelley
Thank you very much for all the exercises and advice you have given us over the last 4 years.
We are so pleased with Thomas’s progress and no words can express how grateful we are to you and to your professionalism. It is so amazing that you can treat not just the symptoms but the actual root cause of the problems!
We wish you and your family all the best".
